Wow, what a difference a few years can make? Lucien Laviscount who found fame in hit BBC dramas “Waterloo Road” and “Grange Hill” is rumoured to be dating Grammy Award winning singer Shakira!

Back in his Waterloo Road days Lucien’s character was having an inappropriate relationship with his older teacher. Seems as though art is now imitating life after the 31-year old was spotted at a posh Italian restaurant in New York City with the 47-year-old mother of two.

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer was seen entering Italian eatery Carbone with Lucien after a sold out concert in Times Square.

Shakira looked sensational in a lace-up corset with leather strings, satin cargo pants and pointy-toe platform heels. Her alleged beau Lucien, also looked dapper in a black wide-leg trousers, a scarf and a grey and black moto jacket.

Lucien, who recently appeared as Alfie in Netflix smash hit series “Emily in Paris”, is featured in Shakira’s new music video alongside Cardi B called “Punteria.”

The actor shows off his incredible physique as he goes shirtless to play a centaur who is hit by Shakira's arrow. Lucien's character is then dragged into a hall occupied by multiple women as Shakira cleans off his wound while suggestively running her hands over his body. The “Underneath Your Clothes” hitmaker then goes on to change into a pink cut-out bodysuit while performing with several backup singers.

In the video, Shakira transforms into a pink dress and is joined by a healed Lucien as she sits in the middle of a giant flower, in which the two caress each other. Leading many to speculate on how real their chemistry actually is.

Rubbing shoulders with Shakira and Cardi B is of course a world away from Lucien’s first role. The Burnley-born actor was a child model for Marks & Spencer at the tender age of ten.

He has since appeared in “Grange Hill” in 2007 before taking roles in “Coronation Street” in 2009 and “Waterloo Road” from 2010 to 2011. After finishing on “Waterloo Road,” Lucien entered the Celebrity Big Brother house. He famously had a fling with former Atomic Kitten singer and reality star Kerry Katona. The pair even posed together on the cover of OK! Magazine with Katona subsequently admitting their relationship was just a “fling” and “a bit of fun.”

Meanwhile, Lucien’s new love interest, Shakira, shares two sons – Milan, 11, and Sasha, nine – with her ex-partner, former footballer Gerard Pique. She split from Spanish footballer Piqué after 11 years; the pair separated in the summer of 2022 following a messy separation. The rumour mill claimed that he was unfaithful and has since begun a relationship with 26-year-old Clara Chia Marti.

Piqué and Shakira met in 2010 on the set of the singer’s Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) music video – the official song of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where Spain won.

A fresh new romance may be just what Shakira needs. Last year, Shakira hit the headlines after she made a deal with Spanish prosecutors to avoid jail for tax fraud. The singer agreed to pay a fine of €7.6million after admitting six counts of the offence, totalling €14.8million.
