Aldi have been going back and forth with M&S after they were accused of copying M&S' 'Colin The Cateplillar' Cake.
Aldi brought out their own version of the Caterpillar Cake, but the name is called 'Cuthbert'.
Whilst many have found the 'beef' entertaining, M&S are taking this seriously and are actually taking legal action against Aldi. They filed an intellectual property claim with the High Court against Aldi.
Aldi, on the other hand, has not taken things as seriously. They have taken this time to give their followers some entertainment with various tweets, referring to M&S as 'snitches' after they took legal action.
The public has been enjoying the back and forth, and some have even been creating memes of their own.
M&S would like Aldi to entirely remove the product from sale and refrain from recreating a similar product in the future.
Speaking about why the Caterpillar cake means so much to them, M&S said:
"Because we know the M&S brand is special to our customers and they expect only the very best from us, love and care goes into every M&S product on our shelves.
"So we want to protect Colin, Connie and our reputation for freshness, quality, innovation and value."
In regards to Aldi's product specifically, M&S said: "We have got significant concerns about this product."
Whilst this legal battle is undergoing, Cuthbert is not currently on sale.
Very British problems we know, but got to love it!
