A huge congratulations goes out to Ashley Gordon aka DJ AG! The Tottenham born DJ has been named Time Out Magazine's Londoner Of The Year. He joins the list that includes musicians the Ezra Collective, a five-piece band who were the first jazz act to receive the Mercury Prize and Euro winning footballer Chloe Kelly, to receive the prestigious honour.

DJ AG has gained massive attention on social media with his impromptu DJ performances on the streets of the Capital. An average set can turn into a party, with surprise appearances from artists like Skepta, JME, and Jorja Smith. He has also become a place for nostalgia by having 2000's artists such as Big Brovaz and Nathan performing their biggest hits.

More significantly, he’s created a platform for up-and-coming talent while spreading joy through music to unsuspecting passers-by. DJ AG's positive work through music has taken him to care homes, and he’s looking to expand his work into schools, prisons, and youth clubs.

The 39-year-old dreams of bringing his pop-up events to cities around the world, he even envisions creating a community hub similar to Stormzy's Merky FC HQ in Croydon – a space for football and community activities. Inspiring others, breaking new ground, and spreading happiness – Ashley Gordon is truly deserving of this recognition.
