A group of men led by the founder of an anti-knife crime organisation, Faron Alex Paul, have set up a vigilante group to patrol Enfield after a series of suspected child abduction incidents in the area.

The men will patrol the area before and after school times with the hopes to keep young and vulnerable people safe.

This comes shortly after a 10-year-old boy; Demetrace Nyakana was abducted from Lytchett Estate in Enfield on Tuesday while going to school.

The boy's mother said he was forced into a Van and sedated by two men although he later escaped when he finally woke up.

There was also a separate suspicious incident involving a white van in the Enfield Lock area on Saturday. Police have traced the occupants of the van and are speaking to a man and a woman in connection with the incident.

Handling matters Vigilante style

Following all the reported cases in the area, Local resident, Faron Alex Paul decided to take action by setting up a vigilante group to patrol the area during rush hours, as kids go to and from school.

Alex took to his Instagram and called on to residents who wished to help to DM him, "There's bits to be sort out", he said.

After recruiting locals to help him patrol the area Alex posted a photo of himself and a group of men on Instagram wearing bulletproof vests with the caption: "ENFIELD PATROLS.

"We're looking for the white vans. Protect our children, protect their future."

Meanwhile, Detective Treena Fleming, head of policing for Enfield and Haringey, asked locals to be patient as the police carry out a full investigation into what happened.
