Music artist FKA Twigs has detailed the abuse she allegedly experienced from her ex boyfriend and actor Shia LaBeouf. In the interview with Elle, she claimed that it is a 'miracle' that she made it out of the relationship alive.

FKA Twigs spoke about a "calculated, systematic, tricky, and mazelike" approach that Shia used to control her actions throughout the relationship, which lasted nearly a year.To make it clear how hard it can be to spot abusive behaviours initially, she used an analogy.

'If you put a frog in a boiling pot of water, that frog is going to jump out straight away,' she went on. 'Whereas if you put a frog in cool water and heat it up slowly, that frog is going to boil to death. That was my experience being with [LaBeouf].'

She also claimed that Shia used to brag about shooting stray dogs because "It helped him get into character". In addition to this, he allegedly claimed to be method acting in preparation for his upcoming role in "The Tax Collector" When confronted about his confession, Shia alleged responded by saying:"I take my art seriously. You're not supporting me in my art. This is what I do. It's different from singing. I don't just get up on a stage and do a few moves. I'm in the character."

He made me feel bad like I didn't understand what it was like to be an actor or to do this "Method [acting technique]. "A lawsuit was made against Labeouf last year by FKA Twigs. This accused him of "relentless abuse" including sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress. The lawsuit was the result of an alleged event that occurred on Valentines Day 2019.

She went on to speak about this in more detail:The account speaks of Shia driving a car with Twigs in the passenger seat, in which he eventually removed his seatbelt and threatened to crash the car unless she professed her love for him. Twigs removed herself from the car after begging to be let out, and then Shia allegedly followed her and assaulted her.

She further explained that she allegedly would be policed by Shia when it came to interactions with strangers and that he would become very jealous about her interactions with friends."One time, he heard me laughing on FaceTime with my friend. He came in and had a massive argument with me because he said he doesn't make me laugh like that," she said.

As the relationship went on, things only allegedly got worse, especially when they made the decision to move in together in 2018.She spoke about Shia "forcing her to sleep naked", and waking her up in the middle of the night making accusations that she was plotting to leave him, and even becoming physical in some circumstances.' I've woken up to him strangling me multiple times.

I've not been able to breathe at his hands,' she went on to add.In light of FKA's allegations - Shia's lawyer, Shawn Holley, told Variety that "Shia needs help and he knows that""We are actively seeking the kind of meaningful, intensive, long-term inpatient treatment that he desperately needs." She added.LaBeouf's legal team deny all of Twigs' allegations.
