Jack Grealish was allegedly denied entry into a Manchester bar on Sunday for being too drunk.
In a video making rounds on the internet, the manchester city star was seen on a night out with team-mates Kyle Walker and Riyad Mahrez.
He appeared tired and sleepy while an individual led him away from the bar presumably after a short conversation with the gateman at the bar.
A person recording can be heard saying in the background: "Jack's burst, he's not allowed inside, look at him, Jack's burst."
However, City has moved to defend Grealish, claiming the event in question was before 8pm and squashed any suggestion the player was drunk.
Head coach Pep Guardiola joked that the players would only be fined because they didn't invite him.
"I'm so upset because they didn't invite me," said Guardiola, speaking in his press conference ahead of Wednesday's Premier League game against Brentford.
"I don't like it - hopefully next time they can invite me for dinner. The video didn't show exactly what happened.
"[They all had] dinner together sober, enjoying it with their mates and backroom staff. The players know the risk when they go out because of social media, but all of them - Riyad, Kyle, Jack - were perfect. But they will be fined because they didn't invite me", he said.
