Harry Maguire has reportedly gotten married in a private wedding ceremony
Manchester United's Harry Maguire reportedly married his long-term partner Fern Hawkins in a private ceremony today.According to Mirror, Harry left Carrington training in the afternoon and headed to the Registry Office ceremony.
He arrived at the location just before 3pm, wearing a white shirt and trousers. He and Fern apparently sent guests a text message today that had the details of the venue.Harry and his wife met over 10 years ago when they were teenagers. It's been reported that only the couple's closest friends and family knew about the wedding.
Mirror reports that the new husband and wife will exchange wedding vows again in France this summer.Speaking about today's ceremony, a source told the paper: "It was a closely guarded secret to all but their closest family and friends."They wanted to be officially married in the UK before they head to France.That will be a fairytale wedding day for Fern."Daisy, 21, Harry's sister, will reportedly be a bridesmaid a the couple's ceremony in Burgundy, France.
Harry's brothersLaurence, 25, and Joe, 30, will also be at the event.It's been said that the Manchester United captain's England team-mate Jordan Pickford, as well as Jordan's wife Megan, who will be a bridesmaid, will also be in attendance.Fern graduated from university in 2017 after earning a first-class degree in science and physiotherapy.She and Hary are the proud parents of Lillie Saint, aged 3, and Piper Rose, who was born in May 2020.The couple, who met when they were 18-years-old, have been engaged since in 2018.Harry became the most expensive defender in the world when he signed to Manchester United for £80m in 2019.
