Manchester United footballer Mason Greenwood has been arrested on suspicion of breaching his bail conditions.
Greenwood allegedly breached the conditions by contacting the complainant, his ex-girlfriend Harriet Robson.
The 21-year-old striker is still suspended from the Premier League club and was first arrested on January 30 this year on suspicion of the rape and assault of a woman.
He was then further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.
The recent arrest of a breach of bail conditions comes after rumours that he and his ex-girlfriend Harriet Robson have decided to reconcile their relationship.
Fans noticed that the two had begun following each other again on Instagram despite her allegations against him at the start of the year.
Rumours are also circulating claiming that the two have been living with each other for several months now. These claims have neither been confirmed nor denied but may explain why Greenwood may have breached his condition of no contact with the alleged victim.
According to The Sun, Greenwood was arrested this Saturday morning at his mansion home on suspicion of breaching the conditions of his bail.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "Greater Manchester Police are aware of an allegation regarding a 21-year-old man breaching his bail conditions and an arrest has been made on Saturday 15 October 2022. Enquiries are ongoing at this time."
Since his arrest, Greenwood has been suspended from Manchester United however the club also stated that Mason would still remain an official player.
Nike has since confirmed the end of their partnership with the footballer after initially only suspending their relationship.
Despite stating that Greenwood still remains a player for the team, Manchester United have said that he will not be a part of the squad 'while the legal process unfolds'.
The football club have issued no comment on today's reports of Greenwood's arrest.
