Mason Greenwood Denied Bail After court Hearing On Attempted Rape Charge

Footballer, Mason Greenwood, is set to spend over a month in custody after a judge denied him bail on charges of "attempted rape and other offences"

He is said to have turned up in grey Nike tracksuit with his hair "grown out". He gave his full name, date of birth and address before the district judge Mark Hadfield began the court session.His barrister requested the district judge to allow him to be released on bail. However, the judge denied him bail and remanded him into custody until his upcoming court date in five weeks' time.

Mr Greenwood allegedly breached his bail conditions by contacting the his ex-girlfriend, and claimant Harriet Robson.

The young footballer is still suspended from Manchester United's first team and was first arrested on January 30th this year on suspicion of the rape and assault of a woman.  He was then further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.

The recent arrest of a breach of bail conditions came following rumours that he and his ex-girlfriend Harriet Robson had decided to rekindle and get back together. Some fans noticed that the two had began following each other again on Instagram, despite her allegations against him earlier in the year.

A court drawing shows Mason Greenwood in the said grey nike jumper, with his hair grown out and sat next to his prison officer. His family were in attendance, along with afull public gallery in the courtroom, with some press also present.
