Professional footballer Moussa Sissoko, 33, has shut down a report from The Sun that claims he failed to pay energy bills in his London home
Former Watford and Tottenham footballer Moussa Sissoko has called out The Sun for allegedly reporting a false story on him.The paper is claiming that the star needs to pay £60,000 after failing to pay energy bills at his flat in Mayfair.Taking to Twitter, Moussa said: "The Sun you used my name and image for a matter that doesn't concern me. You have not verified your information and this is causing personal harm to me and my family.
"He then added: "Because of a namesake you sold paper on my back? Ok, I am filing a complaint against you and justice will do its job. You don't smear people with impunity just to create a buzz. Next time you'll do your job better as a pseudo scandalous journalist."Moussa, 33, played in England from 2013 to 2022. However him and and his wifeMarylou Sidibe recently moved back to France so he could play for Nantes.The Sun claims theCounty Court Business Centre ruled that the footballer must pay £61,700 to Yu Energy.A source reportedly told them: "There's no way he can avoid the liability."
