NICKI MINAJ ARRESTED AT AMSTERDAM AIRPORT JUST HOURS BEFORE MANCHESTER PERFORMANCE

US rapper Nicki Minaj has been arrested at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport, just hours before she is due to perform at Manchester's Co-op Live venue.

Minaj is in the midst of her Pink Friday 2 tour, with her next stop being Manchester, UK.

However, the Superbass singer may be facing delays due to an unexpected arrest at Schiphol airport in the Netherlands.

The artist was arrested on suspicion of possession of soft drugs, with no specific drugs being specified.

However, some of Nicki Minaj's tweets imply that the drug in question is weed (cannabis) which is legal in Amsterdam.

Minaj filmed and live-streamed several of her encounters with airport staff and Dutch police, including one video where an officer can be heard telling Minaj: "You are under arrest".

The 41-year-old pop star claimed the arrest was an attempt to sabotage her tour be "jealous" people and a former tour manager whom she had fired prior to the tour.

Minaj also claimed that her flight, which would have only taken 45 minutes to an hour, was 2 hours delayed.

The singer seems to believe that the Dutch airport staff and authorities were paid "big money" to prevent her from performing in Manchester.

Minaj was allegedly asked to remove her social media posts by the pilot, who can be seen in the first slide of our Instagram post.

Additionally, the officers in the officer in another video can be heard repeatedly asking the singer to stop filming.

She also claims to have anticipated the delays in advance, hence why consistently filmed her trip to the airport.

Nicki Minaj's representatives have not yet issued a statement on the arrest.
