A source close to the British royals has made explosive claims that Prince Charles was the mystery royal who questioned Archie's skin colour before he was born.
The allegation was made in a new book; "Brothers And Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan", an extract of which was published by Page Six.
However, Prince Charles' camp has dismissed the claims as fictional and even called in lawyers over the matter.
Author Christopher Andersen quotes a source who claims the exchange was made between Charles and Camilla while Meghan was pregnant.
In the book, Charles reportedly said to his wife: "I wonder what the children will look like". Responding to the comments, his wife is said to have been "somewhat taken aback" by the comment and responded with: "Well, absolutely gorgeous, I'm certain".
The source further claimed that Charles lowered his voice before asking: "I mean, what do you think their children's complexion might be?
Clarence House, the residence of Charles and Camilla, has since dismissed the allegations saying they were "fiction and not worth further comment".
In a lighter spin to the story, however, Andersen, claims in his books that Charles' words were given a racist spin by royal staff; before being aired to the world during Meghan and Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The book also shares Harry's frustration after the incident, though he writes that Charles felt that his son was being "overly sensitive about the matter".
The author also added that William would go on to defend his father, saying that Charles's comments were "tactless" but "not a sign of racism within the family."
