Prince Harry is back in California with his family after spending just 28 hours in the UK for his father's coronation.

The Prince was reported to have caught a British Airways flight after making a quick departure from Westminster Abbey following the end of the historic ceremony. The Duke of Sussex arrived at Los Angeles International Airport at around 7.30pm local time on Saturday (3:30am UK time) to be reunited with his son on his birthday. Prince Archie turned four on Saturday and spent his birthday with his mother, Meghan Markle.

British Airways flight attendants confirmed that Harry had been on a flight to LA, however, they were not permitted to discuss the details of his trip. Harry's appearance at the coronation marked his first public appearance with the royal family since he made explosive claims about them in his controversial memoir, Spare.

The Prince was seated in the third row to watch the crowning of King Charles alongside Prince Andrew, who was also in attendance despite stepping away from the public life following allegations relating to his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. Harry's abrupt return to the US meant he did not appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the iconic finale of the day however the palace had confirmed that the Prince had no formal role at the event.
