Rihanna becomes youngest self-made billionaire in USA

The Fenty Beauty owner now has an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion dethroning Kylie Jenner previously in the spot.

Rihanna became the youngest self-made billionaire in America at the age of 34 with an estimated net worth of $1.4bln (£1.17bln) according to Forbes.

The singer who began her career as a teenager aged 17, has gone on to become a household name in the music and beauty industry, as the Bajan star launched her brand "Fenty Beauty" in 2017.

As well as her thriving beauty and singing career, the Bajan-born artist has taken fashion by storm.

It was revealed earlier this year that Rihanna was working on taking Savage X Fenty public through an initial offering that would value the company at a staggering $3 billion; she owns 30% of the brand.

The 34-year-old officially became a billionaire last August - making her the richest female musician in the world and the second richest female entertainer after Oprah Winfrey.

With her $270 million stakes in the successful Savage X Fenty lingerie line, in addition to her 16-year music career as a chart-topper, Rihanna has amassed an abundance of wealth.

In addition, she has also released a luxury fashion house called Fenty and a skincare brand called Fenty Skin, and it is rumoured that she's currently gearing up to release a hair-care products line called Fenty Hair.

Rihanna's celebrations do not stop as an entrepreneur, as the Fenty beauty owner becomes a mother for the first time with long-term-friend-turned-partner ASAP Rocky.
