Rapper Dave has come under fire after some old tweets of him speaking about black women in a negative light have resurfaced.
In some of his tweets, Dave referred to black women as "melanin bandits" and in other tweets, he even called black women "Purple hair b*****".The tweets were posted between 2015 and 2016, and Dave took to his Instagram story in a post and delete to speak on the tweets in question and said "I said some reckless sh*t when I was younger!"
In another Instagram story post (see above) Dave asked his followers "Why do they love capping on my name?" Which has also since been deleted. Before the tweets had been revealed, Dave was enjoying himself on a sunny break with Fredo and Youtuber and Models Kennedy Symone and Corey Rayon.
Dave's comments have caused a stir within the community, with mixed responses to his words. One person who took to their Instagram story to weigh in was rapper Ivorian Doll, who has made it clear that she is unhappy with the tweets.
She firstly retweeted a tweet that responded to Dave by saying "Black is beautiful until it's time for you to be with one?"Not only this, but she also posted a message to her Instagram story which stated "Black is beautiful and it's always gon be THAT".
