Britains most prolific baby killer, Lucy Letby who was convicted of murdering 7 babies, is said to have received a new hairstyle and is now permitted to watch Christmas films in her individual prison cell.
Letby who has been jailed in a privately operated prison with round-the-clock protection, she has reportedly changed her hair color to brown with her being deemed ‘unrecognisable’ and according to reports from The Sun, as ‘happy as Larry’ with her facilities.
“‘The facilities at Bronzefield are much nicer than most jails, because it’s privately run. She is with prisoners who have earned more rights to watch TV, spend their cash and have visits.”
Letby is reported to have recently transferred from the notably challenging Low Newton jail in County Durham to the private women's HMP Bronzefield in Ashford, Surrey. According to an insider cited by The Sun, Letby appears content in her new environment, residing in a comfortable, solitary cell. Bronzefield's spokesperson declined to comment on individual cases.
This relatively favourable treatment, despite the egregious nature of her crimes, has caused frustration among other inmates who have earned privileges such as watching TV, spending money, and receiving visits. Lucy Letby faced trial in October 2022, accused of the deaths of seven infants and attempted harm to ten others.
The trial extended nearly eight months, partly due to the extensive amount of intricate medical evidence the jury needed to evaluate. Jurors learned that Letby often waited for parents or nurses to step away from the infants' bedside before carrying out her attacks, whether by injecting air into their bloodstreams or feeding tubes, poisoning them with insulin, overfeeding them milk, or inserting hard plastic medical tubes down their throats.
