Boxer Tyson Fury and his wife Paris Fury welcomed their sixth child on Sunday after a lengthy two-day labour.

The 32-year-old boxer took to social media to announce the good news, urging his followers to pray for his baby girl.

Tyson said their baby was in the ICU although she was in a "stable position" and that Paris was doing great.

"Massive thanks for all the messages and support. The baby is [in] a stable position & doing well," he wrote, adding that: "Hopefully she comes out icu today. Please keep baby Athena in your prayers. Paris is doing great. God bless."

Later on Monday, Mr. Fury announced that the baby was doing "fantastic" as she was off the ventilator.

Following the announcement, the proud father, who was also the highest-paid boxer as of last year set up a GoFundMe fundraiser page for Ronald McDonald House Liverpool and the Alder Hey Children's Charity.

It was first confirmed in January that Paris was pregnant. The couple already has five other kids: sons Prince John James, Prince Tyson Fury II and Prince Adonis Amaziah, plus daughters Venezuela Lynda and Valencia Amber.

Tyson has spoken proudly in the past about how he and his partner are raising their children to value money.

"For me it's very important to stay close to my grassroots as I've got a lot of kids coming up, I've got five kids, very important for them to know the value of money," he says, adding that: "So, if they see me splashing out all the time and living a movie stars' lifestyle they grow up thinking that's the only way they can live".

He says he wants their kids to have a normal upbringing despite his status as a champion boxer.

Paris on the other hand has been forging ahead with her own career over the past year, landing a role as a panellist on Loose Women last year.
