UK RAPPER SKRAPZ FOUND GUILTY OF PERVERTING THE COURSE OF JUSTICE IN THE MURDER OF CRAIG SMALL

A gangster has been found guilty of the murder of rapper Craig Small.

The murder took place outside a pizza restaurant in Wembley where Small (AKA Smallz) was shot by a rival gang member who was wearing dark clothes and a face mask.

Smallz, 32, was not the only target on that evening. Musician Serge Mukendi, also known as 'Big French' was also an intended target.

An Old Bailey retrial found Courtney Ellis guilty of murder, attempted murder, and perverting the course of justice.

Rapper Skrapz, whose real name is Christopher Kyei, was also charged with perverting the course of justice after he assisted Ellis in the disposal of the getaway car.

The murder took place on July 5th 2019 and was said to be "carefully planned" as a result of gang rivalry.

Small was standing outside of a pizza restaurant in Wembley, when a man in dark clothing and a face mask ran towards him and fired a handgun at Small's face. The bullet struck his right cheek.

A second shot was fired, this time from a nearer distance, however, the bullet missed and hit the pavement causing a fragment to enter the victim's eye.

The gunman then ran into a waiting getaway car, which was a Mini with cloned registration plates.

Several minutes later, the gunman attempted to shoot Mulendi who was in a white Mercedes, but the gun "misfired".

The following day, Skrapz, 37, assisted in using a pick-up truck to dispose of the Mini used to escape the scene of the crime.

Although the gunman was not named, Ellis was found to be the driver of the Mini, with Skrapz found guilty of helping to dispose of it.
