Zayn Malik has been dropped by his label, RCA Records, over concerns about him smoking cannabis and his lifestyle choices.
Following the allegations against him of harassment and an altercation in his Pennsylvania home, Malik pleaded no contest on four criminal offences of harassment involving his former partner Gigi Hadid and her mother Yolanda Hadid.
A source told the Sun: "A lot of people have tried desperately to get Zayn's life and career back on track, but nothing has worked. So many people who have worked with him have just given up. He's almost impossible to control or guide. A while ago his label quietly decided it was the end of the line for their relationship, and now this."
Court documents allege that Malik pushed Yolanda into a dresser at his Pennsylvania home and called her a "f****** Dutch sl**". During the incident, Gigi was reportedly in Paris. Malik phoned her and said: "Strap on some f****** balls and defend your partner against your f****** mother in my house." The court documents further say that he also tried to fight a security guard by shouting at him to "get to f*** out of my house".
For each charge, Malik will undergo 90 days of probation and will take part in an anger management class and domestic violence program. He is banned from speaking to Yolanda and the security guard.
Malik addressed the incident on social media: "As you all know I am a private person and I very much want to create a safe and private place for my daughter to grow up in." A place where private family matters aren't thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart. In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed to not contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner's who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago."
