Renowned BBC Radio 1 host Clara Amfo has announced her departure from her Radio 1 show, marking the conclusion of her time on the station since her arrival in 2015.

Notably recognised as the captivating voice behind the new music showcase 'Future Sounds' since 2021, Clara has been instrumental in shaping the musical landscape during her time at the station.

Starting in April,  Chart Show host, Jack Saunders, will take over from Clara. Embracing this opportunity, Clara expressed her pride in the substantial work accomplished thus far while mentioning her future role at Radio 1, which will involve curating artist specials and spearheading a new Sounds show.

Reflecting on this transition, Clara conveyed her excitement for the future, stating, "I'm incredibly proud of the groundwork laid and am looking forward to the next chapter, both within the network and beyond."

Inheriting the evening slot, Jack Saunders, currently at the helm of Radio 1's 'Future Artists,' joyously shared, "This new role signifies the realisation of my dreams. I'm thrilled to champion emerging musical talent and continue fostering a platform for new music."

Stepping into the fray behind Jack, Sian Eleri, the current host of 'The Chillest Show' and 'The Power Down Playlist,' is set to introduce a new program focused on the introduction and promotion of budding artists and bands.

Expressing her enthusiasm for this new venture, Sian remarked, "I am eager to build upon the gratifying aspect of my role – discovering and advocating for the finest emerging talents worldwide, providing listeners with an unparalleled musical experience."
