Kylie Jenner Slammed After Posting Friend's Go Fund Me of $60,000

Kylie Jenner found herself facing serious backlash online after she asked fans to donate to a fundraiser to pay for her makeup stylist's medical expenses.

Celebrity makeup artist; Samuel Rauda was involved in an accident and had to undergo surgery last week. According to his GoFundme fundraiser, the goal was to raise $120,000 for medical costs. In a bid to help out, Jenner, 23, reportedly shared an Instagram Story on Thursday that urged her fans to donate to the GoFundme campaign. The Kylie Cosmetics founder shared a still shot from Rauda's most recent video; along with a link to his GoFundme page to encourage her followers to donate."May God watch over you and protect you @makeupbysamuel everyone take a moment to say a prayer for Sam who got into an accident this past weekend," she wrote on her Instagram stories, Urging everyone to donate.

The backlash

However, The request didn't sit well with fans, who noted Jenner could have potentially funded the costs as she has an estimated net worth of almost 1 billion dollars."Why is kylie Jenner asking for donations to fund her makeup artist's surgery when she's a billionaire", one user wrote.

"How come, Kylie Jenner, isn't paying her makeup artist enough to afford a 60k surgery? That's the real question. Her business is makeup. He's her makeup artist! He's not bringing in millions?!?" another added.

While most of her fans on social media seemed to be critical of her move, some were more sympathetic saying that; Samuel was an employee and that kylie had no obligation to pay for his bills.

User comment in defence of Kylie.[/caption]"The makeup artist is an employee. If Kylie doesn't pay her a salary, then OMGosh the outrage in the comments is warranted. If Kylie pays her a salary, then anything she GIVES her outside of that is a gift", one user came to her defence.

Billionaire donation

The GoFundMe's monetary goal was previously set at $60,000, but has surpassed that amount and was updated with a new goal of $120,000.Jenner donated $5,000 to the GoFundMe and so did actress Bella Thorne; also another celebrity client of Rauda's.

In 2019, Forbes named Jenner the world's "youngest self-made" billionaire at the age of 21.However, Last spring, the publication revised the title; noting that "Kylie's business was significantly smaller and less profitable than the family had led the public to believe.
