Nicki Minaj hopped onto Instagram live yesterday with Drake where she revealed that she has released her 2009 mixtape; "Beam me up scotty" in addition to three more collabos one of which features Lil Wayne.
The streaming release marked the breakout tape's 12-year anniversary, so she celebrated by going live on instagram Thursday evening.
''I'm working on the album, the album is coming soon, the documentary is as well,"she told viewers. "I'm really excited for you guys to see the documentary because I know you guys will love it"
Drake, who is also featured on several of the songs joined Nicki on the live to talk about the release. Nicki revealed that it was Drake who sent her the record; "Seeing Green" after she informed him of her plans to release Beam Me Up Scotty on streaming services.
"You sent me this record called "Seeing Green." What made you think I would sound good on that?" she asked him.
"It's just been a really long time since that link-up has happened" It didn't feel right with you not being on it, that's really the only way I can put it," he said. "It was fun the other way, but it's epic this way, you know?"
Nicki also spoke of her son; Papa Bear and getting over a writer's block; to which she credits Drake for helping her get out of.
Drake concluded by encouraging her; "when you're gone, I'm not gonna lie" like we really miss you. We really miss your presence; we miss the bars. We miss the excitement you bring", he said.
