Dizzee Rascal was arrested in June, and has now pleaded not guilty of assault by beating at Croydon Magistrates Court.

The rapper denied "pushing his head into" Cassandra Jones and "pushing her to the floor" at his Stretham home on June 8. He was charged with assault by beating on August 2.The court heard that Dizzee Rascal's manager will be giving evidence at the trial. He allegedly received a phone call whilst the altercation occured. His ex girlfriends mother, Dawn Kirk will also give evidence at the trial.

Dizzee has now been released on a conditional bail, which requires him to return to Croydon Magistrates' Court trial which, will take place on February 18th 2022.Ms Jones, Dizzee Rascal's ex girlfriend released a statement which said: "Today, my ex-fiance Dylan Mills, pleaded not guilty to a charge of common assault. Dylan is the father to our 2 children." The pain and upset I am experiencing is a private matter and I will do everything I can to protect our children. I ask for privacy to enable our children and I to get through what will be a challenging court process and to move on with our lives in the most positive way we can."
