MAN ACCUSED OF KILLING WHATSAPP ADMIN AFTER GETTING KICKED OUT OF GROUP CHAT

A man has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting the administrator of a community WhatsApp group who had removed him from the chat, Express News reported. The incident took place on Thursday evening in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. The victim, identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, was shot and killed following a dispute with the suspect, Ashfaq, who has now been charged with his murder, according to police records.

The conflict reportedly began when Mushtaq removed Ashfaq from the WhatsApp group after an argument. Sources indicate that the removal led to growing tensions between the two. In an attempt to resolve their differences, they agreed to meet in person. However, instead of reconciliation, the meeting turned violent when Ashfaq allegedly arrived armed and opened fire on Mushtaq, fatally wounding him.

According to a statement given by Mushtaq’s brother, Ashfaq was furious over being removed from the WhatsApp group, which ultimately led to the deadly confrontation. Witnesses in the area reported hearing gunshots, and local authorities were soon alerted. Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and launched an investigation. Authorities have gathered evidence, including witness testimonies and forensic reports, to build the case against Ashfaq. The suspect is expected to face legal proceedings as the investigation continues.

The shocking incident has left the local community in disbelief, raising concerns about how online disagreements can escalate into real-world violence. Our Residents took to our Instagram page to raise their concerns. One wrote, "The internet has actually ruined society wtf." A second added, "It’s crazy to think a lot of these headlines, had you seen them 5-6 years ago you’d have thought was fake …"
