Tik Toker Farah Shams is calling out her former “friend” Leila Layzell for allegedly “stealing” her content.

The 25-year-old content creator Shams, who featured on Netflix's ‘Sidemen InSIDE’ reality series, is most known for her Tik Tok content, particularly a series of videos where she goes up to male strangers in public and calls them her husband. Shams has amassed a whopping 2.2 million followers on the lucrative platform and has built a reputation for herself as a charismatic content creator.

Shams recently took to TikTok to share the story of the “really really good” friendship she once had with Leila. However, according to Shams, the friendship turned sour last year after Leila pursued a guy Farah told her she was interested in. In the self-shot revelation video, Shams stated:

“We saw this guy and I found this guy really cute. I told her I’m feeling that guy he’s super cute. What did she do? She then said ‘let me ask him what way he’s going home and go home with him’.“

Shams went on to profess that she originally suggested that Leila should participate in the "my husband" trend she created, stating:

“So she [Leila] done a husband video with the guy that I told her I was feeling… This video then blows… She then starts a fake relationship with him online”.

‍

Shams continued to state:

“Since then… she’s been rinsing my husband videos… Non-stop. And she’s blocked me on everything”.

Leila Layzell, whose street interviews sparked her rise to TikTok fame, didn’t take long to respond to the accusations and though she told a very similar story she offered a completely different explanation to the 'boy-drama'. In Leila’s response video, she spoke to her audience of almost 700,000:

“So we both met a guy… At the same time she was in a relationship, had a boyfriend that she lived with and I was completely and utterly single…

‍

I did a video with this guy, while she was there by the way. The video went super viral, so he and I organized to do more content together…

‍

But she said that “it was all fine”… and I woke up to see that she had written publicly things about me on her story without actually saying anything to me…

‍

That’s when I had to cut the friendship off and that’s when we fell out and that’s why I blocked her”

Shams claims that the similar content didn’t stop there and says that Leila went on to copy her “anxiety videos”, all whilst blocking and deleting any commenters who accused her of copying Shams content. Shams claims that under her comment section of her anxiety videos, fans frequently comment “social anxiety fears you” a phrase which has been reused in Leila’s own content. Leila did not deny being “inspired” by Shams' content whilst also noting that all content is “inspired” and that others have since been inspired by her own content.
