The former Love Islander contestant posted an emotional video on her Instagram after her doctor sadly revealed that a lump on her body could be cancerous.

Demi Jones captioned an Instagram Story post on Thursday with the message: "Got my results today and it could be thyroid cancer so I've got to have it operated on in the next couple of weeks".

"It's just a shock because you just don't think, I was sat there in this waiting room and it was full of old people and I was the only young one there", she added. "I thought, for God's sake, I'm so young for god's sake".

In another post, on her insta story, Demi went on to encourage her followers on Instagram to get their lumps checked.

"Please don't put off getting lumps checked, if appointments keep getting cancelled then you need to chase it up", she wrote.

"I was supposed to have this appointment 6 months ago..

"At my scan they said 'everything looks fine' and went to send me on my way. I challenged it and asked if they could do more, in which they said 'oh well we can test the fluid if you want us to?'", she added.
