Manchester United footballer Marcus Rashford was involved in a car accident on his way home from yesterday's Burnley match.

Following United’s 1-0 win away at Burnley, Erik ten Hag and his players took the team bus back to Carrington before heading home in their personal cars.

England international Rashford’s journey was soon brought to an abrupt halt, however, following an accidental collision with another car.

While there was significant damage to his car, Rashford, along with the other driver involved, managed to walk away unhurt and while police officers arrived on scene to manage the wreck site, no ambulance was required.

Footage of the incident surfaced on social media in which Rashford’s Rolls Royce can be seen heavily dented with pieces of the rear bumper ripped off and strewn on the side of the road as hazard lights flashed. A nearby pole on a traffic island was also wrecked following the collision.

A source told The Sun that although Rashford was “shaken”, he was not injured in the collision. Footage shared on social media shows a car dented on the side of the road, with police surrounding the scene with a traffic island toppled too.

The 25-year-old is an avid collector of luxury cars and recently added a third Rolls Royce - a £560,000 Cullinan Blue Shadow - to his growing stable of supercars.

Other cars in Rashford’s expensive collection include a £280,000 McLaren 765 Long Tail and a £350,000 Lamborghini Urus Performante.
