According to the lawsuit, American Actor, Eric Marlon Bishop better known by his stage name, (Jamie Foxx) is being accused of sexual assault by an unnamed woman who claims the actor committed heinous sexual acts on her 8 years ago at a popular restaurant in New York City called Catch NYC in 2015.

The accusation follows numerous lawsuits accusing powerful men in the entertainment industry of sexually and physically abusing women, including the most recent case which was quickly settled between ex-partners Cassie and Diddy, with Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura alleging several years of abuse by the hands of rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, claims in the suit that Foxx led her to a secluded part of the restaurant around 01:00 in the morning on 26 August 2015 and “intentionally and without consent used force to offensively touch Plaintiff’s person,” which states in the court documents that Mr Foxx, was groping her breasts and genitals to which she alleges Foxx seemed “intoxicated” at the time when she requested to have a photo taken with him.

The woman, identified only as Jane Doe at this present time, plans to also sue Catch NYC & Rooftop and its owner Mark Birnbaum, alleging they were “negligent” and “failed to use reasonable care to prevent the acts described” in the lawsuit, while she believes the actor was “operating through his position as a well-known celebrity."

It has been revealed within the court documents that the “Plaintiff suffered and continues to suffer severe emotional distress and anxiety, humiliation, embarrassment, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other physical and emotional damages,” the document reads and will be suing for damages, alleging "sexual assault, abuse, assault and battery".

The suit is one of many filed under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which opened a one-year window to file sexual abuse claims that would otherwise be barred by the statute of limitations. The deadline to file such claims is Thursday.

Jamie Foxx's representatives have yet to respond to these allegations.
