The long-awaited 2021 Love Island series is finally here. Contestants for the ITV dating show were revealed yesterday ahead of its scheduled return on the 28th of this month.

The show has been criticised in the past for a lack of diversity in its contestants and for not caring for its cast's mental wellbeing. As a result, it announced on Thursday that contestants will be offered "a minimum of eight therapy sessions" on their return home in line with the ITV's duty of care protocol. Additionally, the show will feature a disabled PE teacher, which has been hailed as a small but progressive step towards diversity.

Some of the other contestants featured on this year's run include; a Civil servant, a marketing student, a water engineer among others. The show will also see a return of Laura Whitmore as its host.  We have compiled a full list of the contestants below;

Love Island 2021 Contestants

Hugo Hammond: He's a 24 year old PE teacher from Hampshire. He has also played for the England PD (physical disability) Cricket team all around the world.

Sharon Gafka: She's a 25 year old civil servant from Oxford

Aaron Francis: The 24 year old is a luxury events host

Liberty Poole: She's a 21 year old waitress from Birmingham. She says she likes tall Alpha male kind of guys. "I've never had that nice, happy relationship so I think it will be nice and something for me to experience", she said during her revealed on ITV's website.

Shannon Singh: She's a 22 year old model from Fife. "I don't feed off looks, I feed off energy, I need someone with personality", she says. "Just someone I can have fun with".

Jake Cornish: The 24 year old is a water engineer from Weston-Super-Mare. He says he loves blondes and his ideal woman is Billie Faiers.

Kaz Kamwi: She's a 26 year old fashion blogger. She describes herself as; Dramatic, Spontaneous, fun and friendly.

Brad McClelland: He is a 26 year old from Northumberland. He works as a labourer.

Chloe Burrows: She's a 25 year old marketing executive. She's from Bicester. "I want someone who is funny. Really funny and caring and will do nice little things for you", she says.

Toby Aromolaran: He's a 22 year old Semi-pro footballer from Essex. He says he has never been in a relationship and hopes Love Island will find him one.

Faye Winter: She's a 26 year old lettings manager from Devon.
