MUSLIM WOMAN DEFENDS HERSELF AGAINST NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON HER VIRAL PREGNANCY PHOTO

What appeared to be a harmless photograph of a soon-to-be mother beaming about her baby bump took a turn for the worst when trolls and virtue signallers relentlessly commented beneath her image debating the sentiment of a woman's 'modesty' in the religion of Islam.

The image showed a heavily pregnant woman, who was covered from head to toe in religious garments, cradling her baby bump with the caption "33 weeks but who's counting".

However, this image was unfortunately met with backlash.

Although the majority of comments were from Muslim men, the woman pointed out that some Muslim women also posted negative comments about her.

Non-Muslim X users then began voicing their views on the topic and debating with Muslim men in the comments with multiple users suggesting the concept of female modesty in Islam was about 'control'.

The woman responded to this particular tweet, acknowledging that the influx of negative comments on her picture had drawn the attention of non-Muslim X users.

In her reply, she said: "When we say the only reason non-muslims found and engaged in my picture was because of Muslim men… these were the INITIAL comments I received. Before any non-muslim entered the chat. Muslim redpills opened the floodgates, you have no one to blame but yourselves."

Despite calls for her to delete her post, the woman insisted she had no intentions of doing so.

Following the negativity and whirlwind of discourse surrounding what she thought was an innocent photo sharing her pregnancy with the world, X users began to flood her comments with positive messages and encouragement for a happy and healthy pregnancy.
