Prince Harry, 37, and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, 40, release photo of Lilibet on her first birthday
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex have released a photo of their daughter Lilibet on her birthday.The Duke, 37, and Duchess, 40, celebrated their daughter's first birthday on Saturday 4, June during the Jubilee weekend.It's been reported that the family had a garden party at Frogmore Cottage near Windsor Castle. This is where the Queen reportedly met her great-granddaughter for the first time.A spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan said they were "incredibly touched by the countless birthday wishes for their daughter."
Many members of the Royal family wished Lilibet a Happy Birthday on their official Twitter pages.Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall said: "Wishing Lilibet a very happy 1st birthday today!"Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Sussex tweeted: "Wishing a very happy birthday to Lilibet, turning one today!"The Royal family account also said: "Wishing Lilibet a very Happy 1st Birthday!"
The couple, along with their two children, arrived in the United Kingdom last Wednesday for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, which marked Prince Harry's grandmother's 70 year reign on the throne.Although the Sussexes weren't allowed to appear on Buckingham Palace's balcony during Thursday 2, June's Trooping the Colour parade, they were spotted playing with the royal children at theMajor General's Office.The pair were not allowed to appear on the balcony due to not being working Royal family members.A spokesperson from Buckingham Palace, previously said:
"After careful consideration, The Queen has decided this year's traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd June will be limited to Her Majesty and those Members of the Royal Family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of The Queen." Prince Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior royals in 2020.
