Rapper Not3s admirable message to highlight men’s mental health has been targeted by online trolls. The unfortunate comments appear to be due to the photos he uploaded where he is seen in a pink jumper with his hair styled in a top knot. However, many have come to the defence of the “My Lover” artist and urge followers to be kind.

No3tes – real name Lukman Olanrewaju Odunaike – captioned the set of photos “Note 2 Self -this month It’s about Men’s Mental health! Hope everybody is doing well physically, spiritually and mentally. More works on the way. Peace & Blessings.” The positive message soon turned sour with some questioning the Hackney born rapper’s sexuality to more blatant homophobic responses.
But our Residents were quick to pick up on the hypocrisy with many supportive comments. One read “For a man to speak about mental health & the comments not helping speaks a lot! Anyways mental health is serious.” Another wrote: “And this is one of the reasons why male suicide is on the increase! Because when men speak up some ppl tear them down kmt.”
A third chimed in “How's a dude gonna wish y'all peace and blessings and you come for him? This is why those who suffer mental illness and get through every day are real love superheroes. It takes a very exceptionally disciplined person to never rise to the hate but to keep going regardless. Anyone commenting anything other than blessings to you too Sir need Jesus, therapy or both."
Not3s rose to fame with songs "My Lover" and"Fine Line", both of which are collaborations with Mabel. He was also nominated for the BBC Sound of 2018.
