Fans were surprised to learn the age gap between 19-year-old Cruz Beckham and his nearly 29-year-old girlfriend German-Brazilian singer songwriter Jackie Apostel. The two have reportedly been together since as early as April, however Apostels age was originally assumed to be much closer to that of the Beckham heir.  

Cruz is the youngest Beckham boy and the third of David and Victoria Beckhams four children. The Beckhams combined net worth is estimated to be close to half a billion pounds, a fact which no doubt has affected the young heirs dating life. Apostel’s real age was revealed after the pair recently sat front row together, alongside the Beckham family, at his mothers Paris Fashion Week show. The two were photographed loved up around Paris multiple times, which likely led to the investigation into her age.

According to HELLO! Jackie was formerly a member of Brazilian girl band Schutz. In a 2022 Instagram post introducing the band, Jackie was introduced as 26 years old making the musician 29 on October 18th. Cruz is known to be the musical brother of the Beckham bunch and has been posted singing original songs and playing guitar to his fathers 88.5 million Instagram followers several times. Cruz has also revealed his attraction to other musicians before, including Billie Eilish, who he declared his adoration for during an interview.

No doubt Beckham and Apostel have formed a musical bond, nonetheless, the age-gap has prompted an outcry from spectators who have accused Apostel of things from ‘cradle-snatching’ to ‘gold-digging’. It does beg the question of how their relationship would be perceived if Beckham was the one ten years his 19-year-old multi-millionaire girlfriend's senior and at what point should we mind the age-gap.
