MICKEY ROURKE'S CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER PAY SLASHED BY 90% AFTER AXE FROM THE HOUSE

Hollywood veteran Mickey Rourke has reportedly had his Celebrity Big Brother fee dramatically reduced following his abrupt removal from the show over repeated incidents of offensive and inappropriate behavior. The 72-year-old actor, known for his roles in films such as The Wrestler and Sin City, was booted out from the ITV reality series after a string of outbursts that included vile sexual comments directed at fellow housemate Ella Rae Wise, 24, homophobic threats aimed at JoJo Siwa, 24, and an aggressive confrontation with Chris Hughes, 32.

According to The Sun, Rourke had originally secured a lucrative £500,000 payday for his appearance on the show. However, his early departure has seen that figure slashed by a staggering 90%, leaving him with just £50,000. A source revealed: “Mickey didn't do Celebrity Big Brother for the experience and was counting on that money. He's lost a huge amount by leaving the show early. It was worked out on a pro rata basis. Conversations are ongoing, so the fee may change, but a contract is a contract.”

Rourke’s exit came during a pirate-themed shopping task, when tensions boiled over in a heated clash with reality star Chris Hughes. After Trisha Goddard, 67, hinted that there was a "rat" among the housemates, Rourke took offense when Chris turned to him. The actor erupted, accusing Chris of “eyeballing” him and unleashing a tirade of profanity. “Don’t f***ing eyeball me, you c***,” Rourke shouted, while housemates desperately attempted to calm him down. Chris responded with, “It was a joke,” but Rourke continued his tirade, adding, “Your a* will be right there in a second,” while pointing to the ground.

The confrontation led to Rourke being summoned to the Diary Room, where Big Brother addressed his escalating behavior. Producers cited a pattern of misconduct, including earlier instances where Rourke made inappropriate sexual remarks to Ella Rae Wise and homophobic comments toward JoJo Siwa. He had already been warned several times prior to the final incident.

In the Diary Room, a remorseful Rourke acknowledged his actions: “Yes sir. I did wrong. I apologise. I'm sorry. I can’t take it back, you know, I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility… I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life, and I wish I would have had better self-control.” Despite his apology, Big Brother declared his behavior “seriously unacceptable” and confirmed he would be leaving the house immediately. “Big Brother does not tolerate threatening language or behaviour,” the producers stated. “We have no option but to remove you from the house.”
