Central Cee’s alleged former friend is claiming that the multi-award winning artist stole his identity. There’s no denying that Central Cee, also known as Cench, has had a remarkable career since his rise almost 5 years ago.
The 26-year-old star released his debut studio album Can’t Rush Greatness in January of this year and has since come under renewed scrutiny about his music, his road to success and even his identity. The album featured internationally renowned artists, including 21 Savage, Dave, Lil Durk, Skepta and Lil Baby.
Bambino Qadr a former affiliate and alleged former “best friend” to Central Cee is now claiming that the artist stole his persona from him. In a sit-down interview with RealLyf Productions, Bambino shared that after spending a couple of years with Cench he realized that he wasn’t going to “put anyone on” because he “don’t understand it”.
Bambino went on to explain a situation that gave him some clarity on where he stood with the rapper after Bambino was offered a 250k “deal” on the condition that his tape had a “song with Cench”. Bambino then describes being gaslit by Cench who allegedly told Bambino he was going to do the song over several meetings but ultimately “wouldn’t do the song”.
Bambino then went onto the landmark claim that Cench stole his entire identity, claiming “the way he moves now is me…The way he acts is me. The way he portrays himself is me”. Bambino added that he was the “source” and the “mindset” that helped to establish the public figure. He also claimed that an issue for Cench is that although he took his persona, he “doesn’t know how to grow with it”, hence Cench is Bambino “from 5 years ago” as he claims.
The artist has not responded to Bambino’s claims and continues to garner success whilst on the world tour for his debut album.
