Manchester United's midfielder Bruno Fernandes was involved in a car crash on his way to train with the squad.
The 27-year-old was involved in a collision during the evening of his teams Premier League crash with their rivals Liverpool.Thankfully, none of the parties that were involved in the incident sustained serious injuries and Mr Fernandes is still expected to train with the rest of the squad today. Pictures have emerged from the scene that show Fernandes' vehicle, which is worth £90,000, damaged on the driver's side, with two cars visibly battered down a narrow road.The second car, a Volkswagen, appears to have been hurled into a wooden fence and the driver's door can be seen hanging open.Inside, the front airbags seem to have burst out, while the right-hand wheel was badly damaged and forced against the frame.
Photo's shared to social media, show Fernandes standing on the side of the road with his damaged car, and pieces of the vehicle, next to him. Emergency crews have also been shown within the images.The footballer has scored nine goals in his 30 premier league appearances for the fifth-placed team this season.Mr Fernandes is a key player for the interim manger's, Ralf Rangnick, strategy. He appeared most recently in United's narrow 3-2 victory over Norwich, who are currently facing relegation, on Saturday.
