Chloe Ferry has announced that her father has died after battle with cancer.
The Geordie Shore star, 26, took to Instagram stories on Thursday to issue a statement with the heartbreaking news. She added that she was struggling to "accept" what had happened.
She revealed that it "still doesn't feel real", further adding that she was planning to step back from social media and other work commitments as she grieved for her father.
"I've struggled to write this and still can't accept it what I'm about to say!" she wrote in a statement posted to instagram.
"I'm a very open person and normally happy to share all details of my life, however this is a time where I really need to have some privacy.
"I sadly lost my dad after his battle with cancer and it still doesn't feel real!"
The heartbroken star added: "I am going to take a break from social media and work commitments.
"As a family we are all dealing with this and trying to come to terms with it", she said, as she asked the public for some time to deal with the loss.
Chloe recently shared a throwback photo of her dad for Father's Day, with the star seen posing alongside her parent as a young girl.
She later shared a snap of the pair speaking on FaceTime, with Chloe captioning the shot: 'Sorry couldn't be there for fathers day, Love you', as well as a broken heart emoji.
Chloe's parents split when she was six years old, with the reality star raised by her mother Liz.
