He is accused of escaping from lawful custody, when he allegedly broke out on the 6th September and spent four days on the run.

Khalife was arrested on a canal towpath in west London at 10.41am on Saturday after a four day hunt, he was spotted riding a bicycle. Khalife was in prison after being charged earlier this year with devising a fake bomb, eliciting personnel information from an MoD information system about members of the armed forces.

The 21-year-old appeared in court on the morning of 21st September via video link from HMP Belmarsh wearing a bright blue and yellow sweat shirt. He is set to return and stand trial on the 13th of November.

He had been in Wandsworth prison awaiting trial after allegedly planting a fake bomb at an RAF base and gathering information that might be useful to terrorists or enemies of the UK. He denied those charges at a previous hearing at the Old Bailey in July.

Mr Justice Jeremy Baker joined the charges and Khalife will be tried at Woolwich crown court on 13 November for all four offences.

He will reappear at the Old Bailey for a review hearing on 13 October, when the trial date may be discussed.
