It looks like congratulations are in order for Elon Musk… again. The world’s richest man, with a staggering net worth of over £300 billion, has recently welcomed his 14th child.
One of the four mothers of Elon Musk’s children, Shivon Zilis, took to social media to announce the joyous arrival; she posted the following to Twitter:
“Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia's birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much”.
Seldon joins his twelve siblings, including Musk’s first-born children - Vivian, Griffin, Kai, Saxon and Damian - that he welcomed with his first wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson. Unfortunately one of Musk and Wilson’s 6 children, Nevada Musk, died in infancy as a result of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) in 2002. Additionally, his trans daughter Vivian Musk has publicly shared that she is estranged from her father, who she describes as being unsupportive of her transition, “cold”, “very quick to anger” and “uncaring and narcissistic.”
His fruitful 8-year marriage to Wilson, who describes herself as Musk’s “starter wife” ended in 2008.
Musk also shares three children with his ex, Canadian singer Grimes, who birthed their son X Æ A-Xii in 2020 and welcomed their daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, via surrogate in 2021 and their third child, Techno Mechanicus at an undisclosed date.
The newest addition Seldon is Musk’s fourth child with tech executive Shivon Zilis, who herself had a successful career in the technology industry, and was one of Musks employees at Neuralink, where she served as the director of operations and special projects. The pair first conceived their twins Strider and Azure via IVF in 2021 (between his children with singer Grimes), before welcoming another baby named Arcadia in 2024.
The latest announcement comes just weeks after conservative author Ashley St. Clair shared that she had a 5-month-old with the billionaire - his 13th child. Whilst there’s no doubt Musk can afford to father 14 children and many many more, some people are beginning to wonder if there’s any limit to the number of children we can expect to see him father in his lifetime.
