Matt Hancock affair with his Aide has been leaked by The Sun.
He hired Gina Coladangelo last year amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The Health Secretary has been married to his wife, Martha, for 15 years and they share three children together.
Gina is also married and has three children of her own.The two were pictured during a steamy moment in his office based in Whitehall. Hancock is now being heavily criticized for his actions, and some have even called for him to resign, not only for cheating on his wife but for doing so during a pandemic at a time where he was advising the public to social distance.
Gina has known the Health Secretary since they were at Oxford University together, and she was hired by him last September. The image itself was taken on May 6, just after 3PM.
He could be seen on the ninth floor of his office, which has been the background of many of Matt Hancock's interview's during the pandemic. He could be seen looking around the corridor to confirm that it's clear, before leaning on the door to ensure nobody would interrupt his moment with Gina.A friend of Matt Hancock said the following: "He has no comment on personal matters.
No rules have been broken. "A source also spoke to The Sun and said: "They have tried to keep it a secret but everyone knows what goes on inside a building like that."I'm just amazed he was so brazen about it as he was the Secretary of State."
It has also shockedpeople because he puther in such an important, publicly-funded role and this is what they get up to in office hours when everyone else is working hard."Matt Hancock has already been accused of "lies" for his handling of the pandemic and for "failing care homes" due to errors with the testing scheme.PM Boris Johnson allegedly referred to Matt Hancock as f****** hopeless in leaked Whatsapp conversations with Dominic Cummings.
With the Health Secretary already under heavy scrutiny, today's revelation certainly does not help his case. Some are calling his actions a direct "abuse of power", and are demanding his resignation or sacking.
Labour Party chairwoman Annaliese Dodds said: "If Matt Hancock has been secretly having a relationship with an adviser in his office - whom he personally appointed to a taxpayer-funded role - it is a blatant abuse of power and a clear conflict of interest.
"The charge sheet against Matt Hancock includes wasting taxpayers' money, leaving care homes exposed and now being accused of breaking his own Covid rules.
"His position is hopelessly untenable. Boris Johnson should sack him."
