PIERS MORGAN ISSUES AN APOLOGY TO JAY-Z AND BEYONCE FOLLOWING INFLAMMATORY INTERVIEW WITH JAGUAR WRIGHT

Broadcaster and journalist Piers Morgan has publicly apologised to Jay-Z and Beyoncé after a guest on his show "Piers Morgan Uncensored" made a series of allegations against the pair. Last week, the former "Good Morning Britain" presenter interviewed singer Jaguar Wright about Sean 'Diddy' Combs' recent arrest. Wright has been vocal for years about her experiences in the music industry, often going viral while making bombshell statements about the people she once worked with. Wright has collaborated with hip-hop group The Roots and appeared as a backing singer for Jay-Z.

Wright said during her appearance on "Piers Morgan Uncensored" how she had been "screaming" that "Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters" for four years. She branded the Beyonce and Jay-Z as a "nasty couple" who "kidnap people." During the interaction, Morgan looked visibly shocked and on Tuesday he revealed had been contacted by Jay-Z and Beyoncé's lawyers. Morgan explained that Wright would have voiced her opinions regardless of appearing on the show, saying "the reality of the modern world is that pretty much everyone had a platform as long as they have something to say that other people want to hear".

He added: "That's why we invited [Wright] on to be interviewed. The people making these claims have an audience with or without shows like mine." But Morgan said that now he had heard from the couple's lawyers, they would edit Wright's allegations out of the show. He then offered a direct apology, saying: "Editing interviews is not something we do lightly at a show called Uncensored. "But like the proverbial cries of fire in a crowded theatre, there are legal limits on us, too. And we apologise to Jay-Z and Beyoncé." Morgan's show is on YouTube after leaving TalkTV in the UK earlier this year.
