Tyson Fury Says He Will Retire After Big Fight Against Dillian Whyte

British heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury says that he will retire after the defence of his WBC title against rival Dillian Whyte in April.

During his press conference to promote the upcoming fight, which Whyte did not attend, Fury said that he would "100%" retire after the April match. He continued: "I'm a two-time undisputed world champion. [I have] £150m in the bank and nothing to prove to anybody."

In the duration of Fury's career, he has won 31 of 32 professional fights and is a two-time world champion. He drew with American Deontay Wilder in the first of their three fights, before winning the second and third bouts.

Fury wasn't impressed by Whyte not attending the press conference. Whyte is believed to be in preparation in Portugal. Fury remarked: "He's terrified. The way he's going on about it, saying he doesn't want to go face-to-face, of course, he doesn't, because he'll see that fire in my eyes and he'll think, 'I'm getting smashed to bits'. That's what it is - it's fear, it's terror. It's all of the above and I don't blame him for not being here today."

Fury took to Instagram to mock Whyte and gave him a new nickname, "FrillianWhyteKnickers". Whyte has not responded to Fury's post.
