Activist, Cephas Williams was accused of stealing whilst he was shopping in Bluewater Shopping Centre. These allegations led to him being harassed by staff until he was eventually let go.

Cephas was shopping in Bluewater until he was stopped and accused of stealing. Staff seemed convinced that he hadn't paid for his shopping and proceeded to surround him.They first approached him claiming that he had not paid for his items. Mr Williams claimed that he did already paid, but the staff continued to accuse him and said that "management" believes that he had stolen. Cephas constantly asked for the staff to remove their hands from his arms and asked them to move away from him for social distancing purposes.

This was ignored initially, but the staff eventually backed off and removed the tight grip.He made it clear that he would be taking matters further in an Instagram post, as he believes that the accusations were a direct result of racism."I'll just leave this here.
