A video has gone viral of several men engaged in a brutal knife fight in the back of a taxi cab. The disturbing incident happened on Spencer Road in Rainham at 5am on Tuesday, July 23rd.

The video begins with the driver pleasantly chatting with his 3 passengers telling them 'I'm going home now', before dropping the 3 men off at their destination. The video then takes a rapid turn, when a mercedes pulls up behind the taxi cab and at least 3 several masked men launch a violent knife attack on one of the unsuspecting passengers. The footage which is being recorded on the taxi drivers dash cam, shows a scuffle breaking out between the group of men outside of the car, before one of the drivers previous passengers jumps back in the car in an attempt to flee the attack.

The frightened taxi driver is then seen frantically trying to drive away from the masked men wielding knives and machetes in a continued attempt to stab his passenger. The hysterical passenger continues to fight off the attackers who are attempting to reach him through both of the cab's rear doors, before one attacker wearing a black hoodie and a red mask, smashes through the back window with a hammer. Another masked attacker then slices the passenger’s right arm with a large knife.

The passenger can be seen begging the driver to drive away, even throwing cash at him and pleading “Uncle, drive fast”. The passenger remains in fear for his life and blood can be seen dripping from his arm as the driver frantically tries to drive off. The drivers attempt to flee are notably slow and chaotic as he is seen becoming increasingly panicked by the feral violence.

By the end of the video, the victim has blood pooling from his arm and dripping from a gash above his right eye. Once the driver manages to get some distance from the attackers, still unsure of his safety he asks the passenger “They're coming, are you going somewhere?...  Where are you going?”

The passenger who only narrowly escaped his brush with death, asks the driver to take him to the nearest police station, before the terrifying 3 minute ordeal is over. The passenger has now been attended to at a hospital and his injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

The Met police have been contacted for a comment and are yet to respond.
