YOUNG WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER THROWING MILKSHAKE AT NIGEL FARAGE

Two arrests have been made after Nigel Farage had a milkshake thrown at him during his personal election campaign in Clacton.

The Reform UK leader, formerly known as The Brexit Party and former leader of UKIP, was leaving a Clacton pub after carrying out interviews when a young woman launched what appeared to be a McDonald's milkshake at him.

According to Essex police, a 25-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault following the incident.

During the arrest, the police claimed a man was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.

A spokesperson for the police said: "Both individuals remain in custody for questioning,"

The MP was on his way to the Reform UK campaign bus after leaving a Wetherspoons pub when he was doused in the dairy drink.

Footage has shown Farage walking back to his bus whilst soaked in the milkshake.

Just before the bizarre incident, Farage stated in his speech: "You will no longer be ignored" as he spoke on the seafront.

"I hope that having a national figure representing this constituency will put Clacton on the map,"

"I will stand up and fight for you... send me to Parliament to be a bloody nuisance."

The 25-year-old woman, who went by the name Victoria, told the BBC that although she did not attend the campaign with intentions to throw her drink at the MP, she "just felt like it" at the time.
