Six People have been injured, including a 15-year-old, after multiple stabbing incidents in London over the Easter Weekend.

London Stabbings

Six people were treated for stab wounds in hospital this long Easter weekend as a string of violent incidents have swept across the capital city.On Friday, three teenagers, aged 15, 16 and 18, were stabbed in broad daylight after a fight broke out in Croydon. All three victims were taken away to hospital by the emergency services.Police put in place a temporary Section 60 order, which enabled Met officers to stop-and-search anyone in the designated area.

A Met Police spokesperson commented on the situation, stating that: "A Section 60 has been authorised for New Addington and wards in the north of Croydon, including Waddon, Fairfield, Parkhill, Whitgift and Shirley South."This will remain operational until 0700hrs on 16 April. Please support police officers as they work through the night to keep people in Croydon safe."The Metropolitan Police later confirmed that two people had been arrested in connection with the stabbings that took place on Goldcrest Way.On Saturday, it was reported that a 27-year-old man was stabbed and rushed to a major trauma centre in the same area of New Addington, less than half a mile from the scene of stabbings the previous day.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 3:18pm today [16th April] to reports of an incident in Headly Drive, New Addington."We sent two ambulance crews, an incident response officer and a fast response unit to the scene. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance."We treated a person at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre."Currently, no arrests have been made following this incident.

On Sunday, police were called to Shoreditch as two men in their 20s were taken to hospital with head and knife injuries.Hackney's police department Twitter account posted: "We're investigating a fight at 4:30am in Kingsland Road."two males taken to hospital with head and knife injuries. One not life-threatening; we await an assessment of the other male."Crime scene in place. No arrest yet."The police are currently appealing for witnesses to contact the police on 101 using the reference '1298/17Apr' or to visit @CrimestoppersUK.
