Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. better known by his stage name DDG was called out for his actions by @yuogem on twitter who wrote, "and the shot .22 tweet wasn't needed at all, all your actions is your fault so it's upto you to make it better not us"
The rapper then responded on twitter acknowledging that “that was an honest mistake tho. i genuinely didn't know that troll was pretending to be someone else. she's obviously very beautiful black woman, and the joke was harmless and i apologize. that's my bad.”
DDG was dissed by a fan last week responding to a tweet he made saying that “female rappers [were] shittin on male rappers frfr” to which the fan replied “you the main one getting shitted on too. Respectfully”
This prompted a quick reaction from the rapper who in turn made fun of the fan’s photos of Jorja thinking it was the actual Jorja from the female group “Flo”.
DDG wrote in a response, “somebody shot your chin with a .22”
The 26 year old rapper later came to find out that he was dealing with a fan account and has now issued an apology.
Pontiac Made DDG or simply DDG started making videos in 2014, expanding his content with YouTube vlogs after graduating high school in 2015 and attending Central Michigan University. He dropped out of college a year later to focus on his YouTube and music career.
In 2018, he signed to Epic Records, and later in 2020, he founded his own record label, Zooted Music, with longtime managers Eric O'Connor and Dimitri Hurt. His hit single "Moonwalking in Calabasas" (featuring Blueface) has gained over 200 million streams and is certified double platinum as of 2023.
Just to put it out there, DDG is also boyfriend to Halle Bailey, the famous actress who is set to feature in a little mermaid rendition this year.
