Anthony Joshua Does Not Expect To Pay If Invited to Expensive Restaurants

Anthony Joshua recently took to the internet to let people know that he doesn't like to be invited to expensive restaurants if he is expected to pay.

The two-time unified world heavyweight champion wrote in a post on social media; "Unless it's free, don't invite me to an expensive restaurant"

"I got businesses to run and a community to feed", he captioned on a post where he was pictured eating some food at a restaurant. "All money in, no money out", he added.

Joshua's post came as a surprise to many as he is a pro athlete that grosses millions of pounds every year. For example, his fight against Tyson Fury before being interrupted by an arbitration ruling was set to become one of the highest grossing matches in history. Each fighter is expected to earn just shy of $97 million before pay-per-view money is included.

The 31 year old from Watford won his first 22 pro fights and was heavyweight champion of the world between 2016 and 2019 until his shocking loss to Andy Ruiz Jr. He later avenged the loss in 2019 with a unanimous decision that was worth more than $35 million.

He left Showtime in 2018, as part of an eight-year, $1 billion deal between his promoter, Matchroom Sports, and streaming service DAZN.

In addition, he has also partnered with various brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, Beats, Sky Sports and Hugo Boss as part of their marketing campaigns.

It goes without saying that Anthony Joshua probably has a lot more money than he could probably spend, which is why some people didn't get why he wouldn't pay for food at an expensive restaurant. But we understand, mans gotta build his empire. Lets us know what you think in the comment section!
