During the 'Breaking Beauty' podcast, Victoria Beckham spoke about her experience with Beyonce and how the fellow singer spoke about how much The Spice Girls inspired her.

Victoria Beckham revealed a conversation that she previously had with Beyonce, where she claimed that Beyonce admitted to taking a lot of inspiration from the former girl group.

"I don't talk about it that much anymore, but what I [remember is that] we inspired lots of young women"

When I met Beyonce a few years ago, she actually said to me: 'It was the Spice Girls that inspired me and made me want to do what I do, and made me proud to be a girl and proud to be who I am,' Beckham said.

"When someone like Beyonce, who is so iconic and such a strong woman, says that she was inspired by the Spice Girls, that's quite something."

Praise between Beyonce and The Spice Girls is not new, as Melanie C has previously praised the singer and even included her in her dream festival lineup when speaking to the Guardian.

"Beyonce – she smashed Glastonbury and, like Freddie [Mercury], is so phenomenal physically and vocally that she might be superhuman, or half-robot. I met her when she was in Destiny's Child and she said she was a Spice fan, which I always remember when I watch her,"

Beyonce recently made history at the Grammy's and became the most decorated female artist of all time.
