The Grammy-award-winning singer sold out the 80,000 capacity of the London Stadium, UK, becoming the first African artiste to solo headline a UK stadium.

The concert, a part of Burna’s ‘Love, Damini Tour’, took place on Saturday June 3rd and featured performances from UK favourites Stormzy, Jhus, Dave, and more.

Burna performed many of his hit singles to his fans, alongside previewing unreleased songs including a single with JHus from the UK rapper’s highly anticipated album ‘Don’t Say Militancy’.

In an interview with London Stadium, Burna Boy spoke about his will to make history:

“London Stadium is going to be my fairground! I’ve been told that I couldn’t achieve anything because of where I came from. I hope this can show people that when you have a dream it doesn’t matter where you’ve come from, your dream can come true. This is going to be legendary, it’s history and I can’t wait for you all to be a part of that,” he said.

Social media users have also been celebrating the African Giant’s success online, many unsurprised that he has reached this milestone.

Burna Boy has continued to thrive since his emergence into the music scene, where he broke internationally with the 2018 hit single ‘Ye.’
